Dental Implants
Say Goodbye to Missing Teeth! Dental Implants are an excellent long-term solution for missing teeth. For most patients, the benefits of receiving dental implants are much greater than traditional options for tooth replacement. Dental implants benefit the patient because they actually minimize bone loss that typically occurs with missing teeth, and they have the potential to last a lifetime unlike traditional partials, dentures, or bridges. Dental implants transfer biting forces directly to the bone instead of adjacent teeth just like natural teeth, so they save the surrounding teeth from wear and tear. Dental implants are a great advancement in dental treatment options. We are excited to offer this service for you to minimize referrals and additional appointments for you!
Implant Crowns
Once an Implant is placed in bone and it has fully healed it needs to be restored with a crown. This is where an Implant Crowns come in. The crown is attached to the implant with an abutment and is securely torqued into place. Now you have completed the restoration process of a missing tooth!
Implant Dentures
Are you tired of your dentures being loose or constantly moving? At Glasscock Family Dentistry we have two options to help you eat better and smile more confidently!
The first option is Implant Retained Dentures, which secures the denture in place to avoid slipping or moving. This is accomplished by placing 2 to 6 implants in the bone making it possible to secure the denture in place. When your denture is secured in place and you don’t have to worry about it falling out or moving around you will be able to smile with greater confidence as well as eat many of the foods that are hard to eat with traditional dentures!
The second option is something we refer to as All-on-X or All-on-4.
All-on-X
All-on-X is a dental term meaning, “all” referring to all the teeth, being fixed on “X” number of implants. You maybe have heard this called All-on-4 or Same Day Smile. If you are looking for new teeth or tired of taking your denture in and out all the time then an All-on-X might be a great option for you. Because All-on-X relies on the support and stability of multiple implants the prosthetic is much small than a traditional denture or partial. It mainly fits over the ridge and the palatal is left exposed. Because of the smaller set of teeth this means greater comfort and greater confidence in being able to eat the foods you want! The All-on-X is as close as you will get to having your real teeth back!
3D X-ray
Traditional x-rays are a two-dimensional portrait of your teeth that only gives us a portion of the information needed for precise implant placement. A 3D X-ray, however, provides us with a three-dimensional view of the interior of your teeth and other mouth structures.
We use state-of-the-art Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT/ 3D X-ray) to improve and expedite the dental implant placement process. By using this technology, we create a virtual model that allows us to precisely plan placement of your dental implant and design a virtual version of your final restoration.
When you get an implant placed at our offices, we will have prepared a detailed guide that shows us the ideal placement for your replacement tooth. This saves time and any guess work that may be involved, allowing us to give you the best results for your new replacement tooth!
